Rona J. Spiegel is the President of Lifestyle Interior Designs Ltd. A long list of her happy clients attribute their satisfaction to a simple but vitally important skill: she listens.
Rona's approach to interior design is different from most others. It is a result of the blending of two disciplines. An earlier career as a home economist provided a focus for her unique abiltiy to make things better. Post-graduate studies at Parsons School of Design, where she graduated with honors, launched her career in interior design. For over twenty years she has created interiors that are visually stunning and eminently practical for her clients' demanding lifestyles all over the Tri-state area and beyond including Alpine and Franklin Lakes in NJ, various locations in Manhattan, homes in Long Island, Florida, London, UK and Majorca, Spain.
Lifestyle Interior Designs Ltd. offers clients a full spectrum of interior design services. New construction and/or renovation are an important part of the practice. The firm's clients often build from the ground up or are looking to improve or add to their existing home, including spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, master bedroom suites, great rooms, home theaters, wine cellars, and exercise rooms.
A penchant for combining function and beauty is especially evident in the custom cabinetry designed as needed for each project. Precise interior requirements are married to beautiful exterior design and materials, creating storage, dressing areas, closets, audio-visual units, kitchens and bathrooms that enhance the clients' lifestyle and decor.
As an integral part of the building team, Rona is an advocate for her clients, working together with them, their architect, the builder and her team in the pre-construction and building phases. Her knowledge and experience help to simplify the uncertainties of construction and turn it into as worry-free and problem-solved a process as possible. Although the firm's forte is high-end residential interior design, it is equally adept at commercial interiors, including office design, private medical practices and retail stores.
Rona is a full professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), NCIDQ certified (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) and is a former President of the New Jersey state chapter, still serving in many different capacities. She has received its highest honor, the Medalist Award for distinguished service. Rona received her certification from the state and is registered as a CID (Certified Interior Designer).
Rona, personally, has a strong belief in giving back to the community. She has performed pro-bono design work for various groups: in her capacity as lead designer for as Gilda's Club of Northern NJ; working with Children's Aide and Adoption Society on PATH homes for pre-adoption children; and as a team member of an ASID chapter community service project creating an award winning facility for the Jersey Battered Women's Service (JBWS). She has contributed as a design expert on many topics for numerous newpaper and magazine articles over the years. Her projects have been published in books, magazines and newspapers, both nationally and in New Jersey. She has received many awards for her design work, including several Gold Awards for Design Excellence. She has completed two terms of service on the Board of New Jersey Monthly Magazine's Designer Advisory Council.
Since no two projects are alike, fees and budgets are determined together with clients, based on whatever services they require.
