Lori Jacobsen Design is a full service design firm, with a mission to create beautiful and functional spaces for clients. In addition to the design services provided, Lori Jacobsen Design has expanded its focus to include The Repurposed Home. The Repurposed Home reflects the design firm’s green conscience. Lori Jacobsen Design and The Repurposed Home (www.therepurposedhome.com) offers the advantages of providing both aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces which do not compromise our health or the environment.

Lori received her Applied Science Degree in Interior Design from Berkeley College and also completed a course of study in Construction Technology. She has a professional affiliation with the American Society of Interior Designers as an Allied Member, is a Certified Green Professional, active member in the United States Green Building Council and is a licensed Home Improvement Contractor with the State of New Jersey.

1887 Brownstone Renovation-We were able to salvage then restore the original base, crown, casing and decorative ceiling moldings for the new library.  The custom bookcases were added at time of renovation.

1960's Kitchen Renovation before photo-The owners of this tiny kitchen lived with a protruding refrigerator and no counter space for 40 years!

Bathroom Remodel before photo-The clients had some work to do before putting their home on the market.  We needed a quick economical solution.
Bathroom Remodel after photo-We were able to update the space with a new vanity and mirror.  The small change added value to the home instead of being a detraction.

Don't throw good bones away.  The piece was reupholstered in salvaged fabric and found a home in an upstairs reading alcove.  The clients averted a large expense by repurposing an old chair.
