Designer Profile

As an Interior Designer for more than 20 years, I have played a major role in the design of residential, office, commercial, and religious institution projects. Throughout, my approach is consistent: consideration of client requirements and desires; space analysis; innovation; economy; practicality; and beauty.

My process starts with client meetings. Together we identify who will occupy the space (existing or to be built), how the space is to be used, and client preferences as to style, color, and level of formality. Based on these discussions, I create initial space and furniture plans and a preliminary budget for my client’s review and approval.

I strive to achieve an interesting and appropriate mix of furniture and architectural styles, often combining the old with the new. Key elements are the bones of the space: universal accessibility, lighting, and “green” considerations.

Most projects involve other professionals such as architects, general contractors, installers, and vendors. I work closely with them and consider them part of our team.

I take pride in my many jobs which look as crisp and current today as they did upon completion some years ago.
